I disagree about the Valley having chain restaurants. Ok, well they do have chain restaurants but they also have great hole-in-the-wall restaurants! In fact, my favorite vegetarian restaurant is there. If you’re ever in Granada Hills, go to Vegetable Delight!
Also, there’s parts of Pasadena that I would definitely avoid avoid.
Some parts of Pasadena are ghetto, but they aren’t really that dangerous, but you’re right, there are some slummy areas.
As a lover of maps allow me to say I love this map. The personal touch brings it to life a little bit.
