Well, Mr. President how does it feel to be elected? Does it feel good that this time, America actually voted for fear and oppression, that it voted against equality for queers, and women? And for all the pain you’ve caused and for all the misery you have yet to inflict, you will not suffer. You will not suffer one fucking ounce, because you never have. You think it is your god that protects you, but it is your privilege, and sorrow will never touch you or your children in the way that it touches us, down here, crushed under your evangelical heel, and your prejudiced heart everyday. And how many more must die, alone, ignored by your right-wing hatred, your unchristian religious conviction? And the answer runs in the millions, because our dear chief of staff is going to take this, his first actual win as a blank check to do what his God of Hatred, God of Exclusion and Judgment will allow. I see dark times ahead, but I will not waver. This is the calm before the storm, and he will take everything away from us that he hasn’t taken already. Abortion, Civil Liberties, Health Care, Education will fall away, and we must fight back, we must grab what we can because His Straight White god, and his prejudiced cabinet will be a plague that few will survive. This is the slash and burn kids, this is the two steps back that we’ll be taking before we can have any more movement foreword. Hopefully the wars at home and abroad will only last four more years, but I’m prepared to wait. Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Harvey Milk, Cesar Chavez, Susan B. Anthony all waited to see equality before they died, and they wait still. We are under siege, and I wait with them. I am not optimistic, I will not buy in to pipe dreams of equality in my lifetime, but I WILL NOT SURRENDER TO THE RIGHT WING IDEOLOGY. These are culture wars, and I am a suicide bomber.
