Twink Wolf

I love Teen Wolf. I love any show that unabashedly recognizes that one of the reasons it has hot dudes in it is because people love hot dudes. Especially when they’re shirtless. It’s like they have a shirtlessness minimum of once per show. Arrow also does this, and it makes me a very happy person.

I actually stopped watching the show around the middle of Season 2 because I was tired of all the relationship drama between the Scott, the eponymous wolf, and Alison, his star-crossed wolf-hunter girlfriend. If it weren’t for the heteromance, I’d have stayed with the show. I’m back at it, though. Aldo’s montage inspired me.

While I’m writing this Season 2 Episode 5 is happily playing along in the background. For those of you wondering why it suddenly disappeared off Netflix and Hulu, it’s because it’s become an exclusive on MTV.com, where there are 5 commercials for every 10 minutes of show time. Lucky for me, I use this commercial break to write. One positive point for the MTV commercial experience is that, unlike Hulu, on MTV there’s a much greater variety. For example, I just saw an ad for Ride Along with the announcer parts in Spanish and the movie parts in English. That’s fun. Then I saw the same Claritin commercial three times in a row. Nothing’s perfect.

Oh. My. God. Allison just made recently dumped Lydia sit through her “I can’t wait to be with him, I need him every second, we’re totally in love” speech. Can we stop with this boy/girl nonsense and focus on the MONSTERS, please? Also, naked dudes. I actually like the lady characters in this show. They’re all smart, competent badasses in their own right. As soon as they stop pining over these silly ass boys, everything will be so much better.

Sorry this was supposed to be about the dudes of the show, not the ladies. Now I’m watching the episode where they track Danny to a gay club and some dude buys Scott a drink and Styles is jealous that Scott is so much cuter than him. Adorbs.

Of all the shows that acknowledge their fans, Teen Wolf is the one that plays up the M/M ships the most.

That’s because the producers know that people respond to this shit. So the answer to the second question re: bisexuality is yes. Although I don’t think that it’s because there will be more bisexuals, but because more people will be open enough to be out about it. I think there are a lot of people who present as either straight or gay because it’s easier to “pick a side,” but it means that they’re missing out on a lot of stuff.

Awe. I love you too, bro.

P.S. Anybody else notice that MTV will do the “Ad 5 of 5” routine at the bottom of the screen, then all of a sudden it’s all “Ad 1 of 5” and you get to sit through five more commercials? Usually the same exact Nut Job trailer? Just checking.

  1. Allison can leave Earth for all I care. Lydia is the shit. I love her.
Did you know the head writer for this and Arrow are gaymosexuals? It explains a lot and I am beyond thankful for it. I read in an interview with the writer somewhere that his portrayal of Danny was how he’d like to picture a world where it didn’t matter that he was gay. I think this is one of my favorite gay characters in anything I’ve seen because of it. They don’t make a big deal about it. He’s not overly flamboyant. Everyone is cool with him, to the point where multiple characters have said “Everyone loves Danny” on the show. I hope to see more of this type of writing for gay characters. And also more shirtlessness because GOD DAMN AND GOD BLESS! *sign of the cross*
