What I Wore: Winter Wool and Whimsey

I think this is one of my favorite outfits lately. It was warm, comfortable and playful.

What I Wore: Buttons and Baubles

I have a stain on my shirt, because I am a mess and I cannot control myself. I’ve actually been kind of down on myself lately for how incompetent I am at being even the slightest bit graceful or delicate. I am constantly slamming my hands and fingers in things, stubbing my toes, tripping over my own feet, spilling, catching and ripping my clothes and jewelry on everything available. Tonight while I was getting gas, I got my necklace stuck to the clasp on my wallet. Who does that?!

But I know what this means. I’ve been under a lot of stress lately and haven’t been getting enough sleep. As oafish as I usually am, when I’m this bad, it’s a clear sign that I need to slow down and take care of myself. So I’ll just put ‘self care’ on the long list of things I have to do right now.

What I Wore: Working Ghoul

I found this amazing Talbot’s jacket at the thrift store. It still had it’s original tags and spare buttons hanging off the sleeve, and thanks to a 50% off sale, it was only $8.00. I was in thrift store heaven. I bought 3 jackets that day, all incredible deals.

What I Wore: Fire Engine

Whenever I try to be sexy, I end up looking like I have a developmental disability. In all of these pictures, I have a splitting headache. Most of them are of me taking my clothes off because I feel miserable and want to get into bed. Can anyone tell me why the sexiest pictures I’ve ever taken are of me in horrible pain? Oh well. The headache is gone now and I look amazing in these.

Okay, so maybe this one doesn’t look so great, but it’s the only one Ben got of the whole outfit before I started undressing.

What I Wore: Target Target

I’ve had bronchitis since early October, and this is the first week where I felt better than the weeks before it. I’m still not at full, but at least I don’t seem to be on the decline anymore. As you can see, I’m very happy about it.

What I Wore: Beet Soup (back-up)

Surprise! This is a post I saved as draft for a day I wasn’t feeling it.

Marina’s Note: I have at least 3 outfits that I haven’t posted yet, and are going to be converted into back-up days. It’s not like I’m not taking outfit pictures, I am, but the process of putting them online is beyond me at the moment. Sorry guys.

What I Wore: Swiss Miss

So many photos today. I don’t even like the outfit as much as I love the photos that came out of it. Since we only just started doing it, I still don’t know how to stand, or where to look, what face to make or whatever. So much of what I think is sexy or cute just turns into me looking drunk or developmentally disabled. Anyway… on with the show

My co-worker told me I looked like the Swiss Miss today. So this is me trying to look as much like a Swiss Miss as possible.

Being a ham

Doing some Yoga to show off my awesome socks.

Finally!

I’m not sure if this outfit gets a gold star. I was mostly trying to find a way to wear my awesome new sun dress even though it was raining and cold. I got a lot of comments at work, mostly of the “only Marina could wear something like that” variety. Usually when I get that kind of comment, I begin to think that it might be a good outfit after all.

Sun dress from B&Lu
Collared shirt is from Target, formerly belonged to Ben
Underskirt is an old thrift store find
Socks are Smartwool, a Christmas gift from Ben’s mom
Shoes are Born, found on clearance at TJ Maxx
