Pepper at the Dog Beach

Hi, it’s me, Marina. I’m writing this from Tuesday night, mere minutes after yesterday’s post. I know, time travel is great. too bad you can only go in one direction.

Anyway, the plan as it stands right now is for us to leave Los Angeles tonight, meet my dad in Eugene on Wednesday at lunch time, eat a nice lunch, and then split up. Ben will take Pepper and the majority of our shit on to Corvallis, and I’ll go with my dad to his house in Bend to spend the night. Thursday morning, Dad will drive me back to Corvallis and Ben’s parents house. It’s a lot of moving parts, and it is making me a little bit nervous, especially since I’m basing this on a timeline that has us leaving at 8 p.m. and it is 8:16 as I type this. Laundry is still in the dryer, we are not fully packed, and Ben is asleep in the bedroom. My head hurts, it’s been hurting all day long, and the wind is really a shit storm right now.

I already knew we’d be like this and scheduled 5 extra hours into the itinerary for us sucking and not making time. So it’s not actually bad yet, but things need to get going over here. There’s an advisory on the grape vine for campers, but other than some construction, that’s the only trouble we look like we’re set to run into when we finally do get our asses in gear and leave. Really, the majority of stuff is done, we just have to shove some of the dry laundry into the bags, grab our toiletries, electronics and the presents, and get a move on. Since Ben’s first driver, I’m going to let him sleep until the clothes are dry. Then is time to hustle.

Oh, here’s some pictures I took at the dog beach in Huntington.

Aw crap, it’s Dec. 31st and I’m sitting here adding this to all my posts because I said I’d have it here until the end of the year and I didn’t. I suck I know. Still, support Planned Parenthood because they’re amazing and the things they do are awesome.
