Ben and I have just spent the morning on this, and didn’t find anybody else with exactly this issue/solution, so here’s a blog on it.
If you are a T-Mobile customer with a Galaxy Note 4, and you have noticed that your user information disappeared from the lock screen after a recent update, this post is for you.
I have fingerprint ID on my lockscreen, and at first we thought it was that. It’s not.
It’s this asshole:
T-Mobile’s My Account app automayically puts a usage bar in your drop down menu, it looks like this:
There’s also one on your lock screen. Or at least there was on mine.
This dumb jerk is pushing everything else off your lock screen, including your user information.
Go into settings and remove the usage information from your drop down menu.
This will also remove it from the lock screen and let your user information show up.
Since it is actually useful information you’d probably want to see once in awhile, there’s a widget you can put on one of your other pages that won’t be so invasive.
If you don’t have the T-Mobile My Account app, then whichever app or widget you see instead of your lockscreen info is the culprit.
Hope this helps.
